Seiichi Horiuchi｜La Musique en Portraits

This mini portfolio features six works from Seiichi Horiuchi’s (1932–1987) series Portraits of Musicians. The selection of collotype prints include portraits of influential musical artists, composers and conductors who’s works shaped western classical music. Spanning transitions from the classical, romantic, impressionist and modernist movements, Seiichi Horiuchi’s portraits of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Erik Satie, Joseph-Maurice Ravel, Igor Stravinsky and Darius Milhaud are have been faithfully reproduced in colour as collotype prints. Included is a special text created for this portfolio by poet Shuntarō Tanikawa.
