Stephen Gill｜Night Procession Collotype Portfolio

This special limited edition box brings together images from Stephen Gill’s (b.1971) most recent series Night Procession. Known for his various photographic works in London’s borough of Hackney, Night Procession is the artist’s first body of work to be made since his move to rural south Sweden in 2014 and took him over three years to complete.

Having experimented throughout his practice with the idea of “stepping back as the author of images” each photograph throughout his oeuvre lives as a collaboration between both the physical space and the finished image itself. Within, the artist captures nature at night, presenting an altogether stunning performance of a world lived parallel to our own. This special edition box contains eight images that have been selected by the artist and printed in collotype by master printer Osamu Yamamoto during his residency at Benrido Atelier as the Grand Prize Winner of the Hariban Award 2017.
