A limited edition portfolio which contains eleven black and white collotype prints in a handmade box by craftspeople in Kyoto.
Tokunoshima in Kagoshima prefecture are islands where the culture of bullfighting and people’s way have been deeply integrated since the islands were under the control of the Satsuma Domain. The artwork in this portfolio reflect the life of the bullfighting “Fukuda Kiwado No. 1”, which was said to be the strongest in Tokunoshima’s history.
Portfolio designed by Michael Horsham of the art design group TOMATO, and includes text by Michael Horsham.
